Mocha Messenger Terms of Use
Effective date: April 6, 2026

These Terms of Use apply to Mocha Messenger, Mocha Passport, Mocha Messenger Service, Mocha-operated websites, updates, and related pre-release services provided by MochaChat Contributors.

1. Pre-release notice
The current public Mocha build is pre-release software. Features may change, break, disappear, or be reset without notice. Bugs, outages, and data loss remain possible while the network is still under active development.

2. License and acceptable use
You may install and use the services for lawful personal use, internal testing, evaluation, and feedback. You may not abuse registration, messaging, contact, moderation, update, or file-transfer features; interfere with the service; attempt unauthorized access; or use the services to send malicious, fraudulent, infringing, or unlawful content.

3. Accounts and credentials
Some features require a Mocha Passport account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for activity that takes place through your account. Mocha may suspend, disconnect, limit, or ban access when necessary to protect users, infrastructure, or legal compliance.

4. Messaging, contacts, and files
Mocha Messenger may let you manage contacts, publish presence, exchange messages, participate in group chats, and send or receive files. You remain responsible for the content you send or store locally through the service and for ensuring you have the right to send it.

5. Updates and service changes
Mocha may publish patches, replacements, new builds, or updated service endpoints at any time. Depending on the build and settings, the software may notify you about updates, download update packages, or ask you to install a newer build. Mocha may also modify or discontinue parts of the service without notice during the pre-release period.

6. Moderation and termination
Mocha administrators may disconnect sessions, remove users from conversations, publish service announcements, or apply temporary or permanent bans when needed for safety, abuse handling, testing, or operational stability.

7. Disclaimers and limits
The services are provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, Mocha disclaims warranties regarding accuracy, availability, uninterrupted operation, and fitness for a particular purpose. Because this is pre-release software, you specifically accept the risk of defects, outages, incompatibilities, and possible data loss.

8. Feedback and contact
